A Bumpy Road to Skin Health

A Bumpy Road to Skin Health:

Family history is important

Although I never noticed the development of her beautiful, dark walnut skin, one day my mother complained of mild eczema. He rarely remembers physical aggression because it stemmed from a time when such things were not discussed.

I later found out why he broke the ban. He must have known it was my turn. My shots are not soft; it was very difficult to control and it was a constant headache.

From symptoms to diagnosis

My doctor didn't diagnose me until I was 40, but the symptoms started appearing in childhood. I don't know them either.

All I knew was an indistinct red-brown rash running from the inside of my elbow to the length of my wrist. The itching was so bad I used calamine lotion to relieve it

A short but false hope

In the end, I walked away wearing a rubber glove while washing again. Eureka! I identified the source as "detergent allergy".

And so I thought. Then the beast came back to spread its tentacles, fed up with my patience.

After moving to Atlanta, I saw firsthand how the city earned the moniker "Hotlanta". The dry condition lasts for several days, even weeks, and the wind blows for a break. My eczema thrives in that kind of weather.
Treatment Roulette

To be honest, I have tried the dictionary of over the counter treatments. Every brand of cream, compresses, elixir and oil imaginable is stacked in my bathroom. It didn't work.
Wool and similar rough fabric made shedding worse, so I avoided them. I still wake up in the middle of the night crawling.

Then Second Dollar Dermatologists  also known as "dorms"entered my life.

Don't get me wrong. Medicine serves a good purpose and helps people who are sicker than me. But they are expensive and presented another problem . They recommend a combination of steroids.

Although medical records confirm its effectiveness, cortisone cream poses a health risk to me. Products with a high concentration of steroids, or lighter products that are often used, can thin the skin and attack the liver, but not with satisfactory results

Stressors have been identified
It is time to use a more holistic approach to problem solving.
The first thing I noticed was the high stress in my life:

I've been through a breakup and my dating relationship has been a series of shipwrecks.

I have been working for a long time, but I still see the knife edge of unemployment.

I knew I had to go back to school for important technical training. Do I have the intellectual firepower to handle it?

I don't see my problems in a vacuum; my friends and other family members share their experiences.

But I know people who have no symptoms under greater pressure. It's time to learn the medical causes of eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis.

Doctors know almost everything

Imagine my disappointment when I found out that the doctor wasn't sure of the answer.

According to some medical researchers, people with eczema are more susceptible to fungal and bacterial skin infections. Bingo! He said to me. I had athlete's foot when I was young.
Something that hurts me and my eczema.
As much as possible, the eczema literature agrees that:
Allergies to nature, fabric, or product

Swelling

Immune system for stimuli

Stress

Reveal

Stay in treatment

I have tried and refused over-the-counter cortisone creams like triamcinolone, but I still follow my doctor's advice to avoid certain irritants and moisturize my skin.

I wash and dry my skin after exercise to prevent skin irritation, and I meditate to reduce stress. A combination of these activities can make a difference.

Some of my favorites

Best product for me:

crushed colloidal ointment is used in warm water baths for temporary relief

Ostrich lotion; Cream products like Aveeno make a soothing and calming nighttime treat

Sheaf butter, which contains vitamins A and E and provides the skin with soothing moisture

In summary, chronic eczema can be annoying and bothersome, but diligent care can clear up or manage the condition. Remember to keep your stress levels and emotions in check as much as possible.

As a general rule, you should have your spills inspected by a professional, because many problems can occur. If you think you have eczema, see a doctor who is familiar with natural remedies and treat your symptoms . Every time you push yourself to stay calm, your efforts will pay off.
