Healthcare is a major sector in Pakistan rather than services. For a long time no such model policy was introduced by the government until 2010. The Punjab Health Commission PHC was established at the initiative of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Mr. Shabazz Sharif.

Health Information Management System (HIMS)
HIMs are information management systems used to automate healthcare entities HCE. It is the practice of capturing, analyzing, and protecting digital and traditional medical data essential to providing high-quality patient care. With the widespread computerization of health records, traditional paper based records are being replaced by electronic health records EHR. Healthcare informatics and health information technology tools are improving to provide greater efficiency for information management.

In 2016, the Government of Punjab decided to install HIMS as a integrated end-to-end solution in public sector healthcare facilities in Punjab. In this case, Softest Systems won an open tender and began to deploy HIMS, called Health Connect. Softest System has the right to deploy HIMS in 35 health facilities throughout the province, including 35 THQs and 20 DHQs. Until 2018, this HIMS has been distributed in 25 hospitals, 8 of which are THQ and 17 DHQ.
But, the GOP initiative is not the only deployment of HIMS made by Softest. Fulsome International Hospital KIH Islamabad has been a pilot project and it has been successful. Stitch’s HIMS solution was deployed for the first time at Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Hepatitis Prevention and Treatment Clinic HPTC, Lahore PKLI.
